Rotary Technologies Corporation brings today's most advanced milling cutters to the world's metal cutting industry. Choose the high performance, low cost Metal Master using our exclusive "frustum inserts", or the Rotary Milling Cutter with the insert that "rotates as it cuts!" Both cutters feature "roll shearing" during the cut to provide faster cutting speeds, smoother surface finishes, longer insert life, and lower costs.
Rotary Technologies Corporation ("RTC") was formed in 1983 from the former Cutters Unlimited Inc. In its formative stages, RTC had a few prototypes and designs for milling cutters licensed from Lockheed Corporation that featured inserts that "rotated as they cut." Over the years, RTC developed its own concepts for rotary cutting, and added new patents to those patents licensed from Lockheed Corporation.
Later, RTC introduced a product line of lower cost milling cutters called the Metal Master, featuring a unique exclusive insert design called "Frustum."
Today, RTC manufactures and markets these tools worldwide, to a constantly expanding customer base. New techniques and designs are constantly under development, including new generation cutting tools designed to mill and bore compacted graphite iron (CGI), a most promising material for lower weight high compression engines, despite properties which make this material extremely difficult to machine.
